Information Collected from End Users (Quote Requesters)

When you request a quote through a contractor’s QuoteJunction chatbot, we collect:

  • Contact Information: Name, email address, and phone number (optional)
  • Project Details: Project description, timeline, budget, location, property type, and other project-specific information you provide
  • Chat Messages: Conversation history with our AI assistant
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and usage data

Information Collected from Contractors (Tenants)

When you sign up as a contractor using QuoteJunction, we collect:

  • Account Information: Company name, email address, phone number, business address
  • Business Details: Company subdomain, logo, primary brand color
  • Communication Preferences: Email and SMS notification settings
  • Payment Information: Processed securely through our payment processor (not stored on our servers)

2. How We Use Your Information

For Quote Requesters

  • Process and forward your quote requests to the appropriate contractor
  • Enable AI-assisted conversations to gather project details
  • Send you confirmation and follow-up communications
  • Improve our AI chatbot functionality

For Contractors

  • Provide access to the QuoteJunction platform and dashboard
  • Send notifications about new quote requests via email and SMS
  • Display conversation history and lead information
  • Process payments for service subscriptions

3. SMS Communications

For Contractors

By providing your phone number and opting in to SMS notifications, you consent to receive:

  • Alerts when new quote requests are submitted
  • Project summary notifications

Message Frequency: Varies based on quote request volume
Message and Data Rates: May apply based on your mobile carrier’s plan
Opt-Out Instructions: Reply STOP to any SMS to unsubscribe. Reply START to resubscribe.

We use Twilio as our SMS service provider. Your phone number will be shared with Twilio solely for the purpose of delivering SMS notifications.

SMS Consent

We use the following third-party services to operate QuoteJunction:

OpenRouter / AI Model Providers

  • Purpose: Process chat conversations and generate responses
  • Data Shared: Chat messages and project information
  • Privacy: We use Mistral Small 3.2 Instruct (or similar AI models) to analyze conversations. Your data is processed according to the AI provider’s privacy policy.

Twilio

  • Purpose: Send SMS notifications to contractors
  • Data Shared: Phone numbers and message content

Resend

  • Purpose: Send email notifications
  • Data Shared: Email addresses and message content
  • Privacy: Resend Privacy Policy

Hosting Provider

  • Purpose: Host the QuoteJunction application and database
  • Data Shared: All platform data
  • Security: Data is stored securely with encryption at rest and in transit

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

With Contractors

When you submit a quote request, your contact information and project details are shared with the specific contractor whose chatbot you used. This is necessary to fulfill the core purpose of our service.

With Service Providers

We share data with third-party service providers (listed above) only to the extent necessary to operate our platform.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

Business Transfers

If QuoteJunction is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

  • Quote Requests: Retained for as long as the contractor’s account is active, or as required by law
  • Chat Messages: Stored indefinitely to improve AI functionality and maintain conversation history
  • Contractor Accounts: Retained for as long as the account is active, plus 90 days after cancellation
  • SMS Opt-Out Records: Retained permanently to honor opt-out requests

Quote Requesters

  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data (subject to legal requirements)
  • Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails

Contractors

  • Account Management: Update your information in your account settings
  • SMS Opt-Out: Reply STOP to any SMS or toggle settings in your dashboard
  • Email Opt-Out: Adjust notification preferences in your account settings
  • Account Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
